Contouring DIY

Contouring is one of the oldest techniques used in the makeup industry, it is well known for being used for photo shoots and runway models. The whole purpose of contouring is to define and enhance certain areas of the face while shading and highlighting to bring out or minimize features. Contouring is rapidly becoming part of many girls daily makeup routine nowadays leaving others wondering "how do I get that look"? So I would try my best to explain how to achieve the look and suggest what products to use. I do advice sticking to matte colors rather than liquid. A matte color gives a more realistic finish opposed to liquid giving a dewy look. Both look great if blended out correctly, but I have to say using mattes is my favorite way of contouring. Although in this tutorial I will be using both matte and liquid products just to show you guys that contouring can be done with both, and getting creative is always fun, which is what I enjoy the most about makeup artistry! I did...

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States.  So in honor of  Breast Cancer Awareness Month  I decided to go for an all  pink  everything makeup to spread the love and word  to help save lives,  find the cures , and  end breast cancer forever ! At one point in our lives I believe we either come across someone who suffers from the cancer or unfortunately that person might be  you or me . Make a  donation  and/or march for a  walk , coming together helps  make a difference .  Below are some  pinkified  pictures! xox

DIY Makeup Brush Holder

Girls, if you find yourself with an unreasonable amount of makeup brushes but no space or place to put them in, look around your house. How many candle jars do you have? Were you thinking about throwing them out once they were done? DO NOT. You can get more uses out of these jars then you think! Starting with a pretty brush holder! This will cost you $0.00 and last you forever. Below are the instructions which I find to be entertaining for a day you find yourself bored in the house with nothing to do.  Have fun! STEP 1: Freeze the wax left inside the jar for about 2 hours. Although I rather leave it in the freezer for 1 day because I believe the wax comes out easier when it is left longer, especially when there is a large amount of wax. STEP 2:  Take a regular or butter knife to crack the wax so it comes out. STEP 3: Clean your jar. There are several ways to do so, such as using baby oil, or dishwashing soap. I chose to use this Ly...

Birthday Girl

Hi guys! For those that did not know, last week 9/11 was my birthday! Thanks again to all who wished me a happy one! I had an amazing time with my dearest loved ones, funny thing is I did not plan much; everything kind of fell into place and...Just happened. Who else loves when things turn out this way? I celebrated at the  NYC Sugar Factory American Brasserie. The restaurant was great! This place is definitely a birthday spot! The vibe and crowd was fun, food was yummy, and the drinks were AMAZING. If you're in the area make a stop! I was also triggered to capture some pictures at the amazing Gansevoort cobblestone streets; I kind of wish all of New York City streets looked like this. I just love the old-fashion way. These were all taken with an iphone 5s so pardon the low quality.  TOP:  Love Culture, SKIRT: Fashion Nova, SHOES: Bakers

Understanding Your Skin Tone

Have you ever walked up to a foundation counter and have no clue of which color best suits you? So you turn to the employee behind the counter for help because you would think they are the savvy’s and they end up referring a foundation color that is either too light or too dark for you. I can relate! My very first time ever purchasing a foundation was from MAC at a Macys counter, I never tried it on at the store because I trusted the nice lady who helped me. Sadly most of these people behind a beauty counter are just a salesperson, and know just as much as the clients who go looking for help. Anyways So I waited until getting home to see how this foundation looked and Lord knows how dark that thing was on my face! That turned out to be a life learning experience. It is good to know what your complexion, and undertones are. It took me a while to understand but with research done I can now say I trust myself when I go get foundations or powders on my own instead of relying and h...

August Favorites

My very first “Favorites” is here!!! This month I made some great beauty discoveries that have left me with great satisfaction. I couldn’t wait to share my enthusiasm with you guys! I will tell you all about the details below! Lets start. Do you love the smell of coconut and love to feel the touch of soft hair through your fingers? Then you need to make your way over to these lovely creamy Herbal Essences Hello Hydration moisturizing shampoo and conditioner! I have not been using these products for long, but 2 weeks was all it took for me to fall in love. The smell, refreshing feeling, softness, and most importantly moisture and hydration this leaves me with has me smitten. Everything the bottle says around such as 100% softer hair within 1 wash, is true. Also since this contains coconut, a fun fact to know about the fruit is that it benefits your hair to grow! I will definitely stick around these products for a while.   When it comes to face cleansers I am ve...

Back to school Makeup & Maybelline products Review!

Is it me or this summer flew by? I cannot believe it will be September in less than 10 days. But that means it will be my birthday month, yay! Although some of you are not as excited because this means back to school. (I know the dreadful feeling). After having such a great summer of staying up late it can be hard to get used to the new sleeping routine and waking up early, especially the first day! Since you are not used to this routine yet you might notice puffiness in the eyes and some swelling in the face that morning. Of course you do not want anyone to see that. So I will show you how to cover all of that and give yourself a nice fresh face look for your first day of school with these affordable drugstore products. I hope you all like! Xoxo These are the Products I will be using. I tried to keep it simple because the ideal girl getting ready in the morning will not have time to apply 15+ prodcucts, at least I can say I always ran late for school! -Maybelline...

Electric Eyes

If you want to know something about me, know that I love the bass drops! Hehe. Yes I enjoy raving! Too bad rave season is almost over! I have yet to decide what, when, and where will be the next electric madness I visit . Help. Anyways the whole reason for this is because yesterday I got carried away with a WET and Wild 391A " Arts In The Streets" palette I had purchased, and I ended up with these electric eyes. I figured this look is perfection for those who enjoy these types of events, and/or of course you can do it for a night out, if you are blunt enough! I hope you like it :) Below are the steps on how to do it. But Remember! this brand is not pigmented so for best long lasting and bold results do use a good primer. I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. UNZ UNTZ! STEP 1- start with the yellow as your base, apply over your lid and brow bone STEP 2-  apply the orange over your crease and outer lid STEP 3- apply the blue over your inner and mi...
