August Favorites

My very first “Favorites” is here!!! This month I made some great beauty discoveries that have left me with great satisfaction. I couldn’t wait to share my enthusiasm with you guys! I will tell you all about the details below! Lets start.

Do you love the smell of coconut and love to feel the touch of soft hair through your fingers? Then you need to make your way over to these lovely creamy Herbal Essences Hello Hydration moisturizing shampoo and conditioner! I have not been using these products for long, but 2 weeks was all it took for me to fall in love. The smell, refreshing feeling, softness, and most importantly moisture and hydration this leaves me with has me smitten. Everything the bottle says around such as 100% softer hair within 1 wash, is true. Also since this contains coconut, a fun fact to know about the fruit is that it benefits your hair to grow! I will definitely stick around these products for a while.  

When it comes to face cleansers I am very picky due to the fact that my skin tends to be dry. Fortunately I do not suffer from acne which means there is no need for me to look for products that contain stronger ingredients. I usually go for the cleansers that say "for sensitive skin". This month I found this new Neutrogena Ultra Gentle daily cleanser and it is great! This cleanser washes away all makeup and leaves the skin feeling very refreshing, plus it does not over-dry. The bottle is 12 FL OZ which is a lot of product inside if you ask me, and also the pricing ranges around $7.99-$9.99 depending on where you purchase it, you can’t go wrong with this. What I love about Neutrogena products is that they are all dermatologist tested.   

This Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque I didn’t really discover this month, but I discovered how to finally use it! I’ve had it for a while but was not using it the right way, I guess. The package does not state how often to use the masque so I was never sure. Turns out this masque works better when using it more frequently such as every week opposed to once a month like I was doing, to notice better results. The Mint Julep Masque is made to dry up pimples, rinse away blackheads, and shrink enlarged pores. Now, I do not severely suffer from any, but I do have blackheads on my nose, the more often I use this product the less pores I have been noticing, so hey that makes me happy! When applying this mask I leave it on for about 20 minutes, lay down and relax while I browse through my phone or read a magazine.  I literally feel my muscles relax along with a cool refreshing feeling. It is awesome! You can find this product in any drugstore such as CVS or Harmon’s.  The masque is also developed by a dermatologist.

Lately I have been crazy about pink lipsticks. If I find one and I like it, I am getting it! And here is another one! If you have not discovered yet, I now introduce you to NYX Butter Lipstick in Gumdrop! I generally love all NYX lip products. This one is buttery like it says, it is a soft pink, and smells yummy.
