Is it me or
this summer flew by? I cannot believe it will be September in less than 10
days. But that means it will be my birthday month, yay! Although some of you
are not as excited because this means back to school. (I know the dreadful
feeling).
After having such a great summer of staying up late it can be
hard to get used to the new sleeping routine and waking up early, especially
the first day! Since you are not used to this routine yet you might notice
puffiness in the eyes and some swelling in the face that morning. Of course you do not want
anyone to see that. So I will show you how to cover all of that and give
yourself a nice fresh face look for your first day of school with these
affordable drugstore products. I hope you all like! Xoxo
These are the Products I will be using. I tried to keep it simple because the ideal girl getting ready in the morning will not have time to apply 15+ prodcucts, at least I can say I always ran late for school!
-Maybelline Great Lash Big (brownish black)
-Maybelline Eyestudio Palette (50 taupe temptress)
-Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream (light/medium Sheer)
-Maybelline Eyestudio Gel (blackest black)
-NYX Blush (PB01 mocha)
-NYX Butter Gloss (tiramisu)
-Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner (black)

| before and after |
There is 2 reviews I wanted tell you guys about and one of them is
the Maybelline Pure BB cream. For a while I have been using L’Oreal’s Magic
Skin Beautifier, I still love it, but I decided to switch it up a notch.
The Pure BB cream is said to be 8-in-1 Beauty
Balm Skin Clearing Perfector with 2% Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment. When
purchasing this product it was sealed so I had no idea of which color tone to
pick, I decided to go with the Light/Medium since the tone followed by that
one appeared to be too dark for me. When trying this as soon as i got home that
day I turned out to be very happy with the results. The tone blended out evenly
with my skin, I did notice it reduced redness in my face; it minimized most
pores, hydrated, and has a very lightweight feel. This product I would definitely
recommend to anyone!
The 2nd review is on the Maybelline Eyestudio Eye Shadow Palette (Taupe Temptress). Being the fact that these are drugstore eye shadows, I have to say they are somewhat pigmented. When applying them there were no fall outs. The only downfall is that they are very shimmery, so if you don’t like shimmer/glitter this is not the product for you. The colors consist of a shimmery champagne, shimmery bronze pink, shimmery silver, and a shimmery copper. And as always for best results do use a good primer as your base!
TUTORIAL
On the top picture I had already applied the BB cream so now I am going to start with the eyes. Use the shimmery bronze pink as your base and apply all over your lid.
In a circular motion with a blending brush, blend the 2 colors you have applied to get rid of all harsh lines.
Apply the Shimmery champagne over your brow bone.
Apply the shimmery silver on your lash line.
Apply your top liner, I used Maybelline Eyestudio Gel. (I find it the easiest to work with)
Apply your eyeliner, I used Rimmel Scandal Eyes in black.
Finish off with your favorite Mascara, I used Maybelline Great Lash BIG in brownish black.
I added on NYX Blush in Mocha and Butter Gloss in Tiramisu, and this was my final look!
Have a great First Day Of School!
