DIY Makeup Brush Holder

Girls, if you find yourself with an unreasonable amount of makeup brushes but no space or place to put them in, look around your house. How many candle jars do you have? Were you thinking about throwing them out once they were done? DO NOT. You can get more uses out of these jars then you think! Starting with a pretty brush holder! This will cost you $0.00 and last you forever. Below are the instructions which I find to be entertaining for a day you find yourself bored in the house with nothing to do. Have fun!

STEP 1:

Freeze the wax left inside the jar for about 2 hours. Although I rather leave it in the freezer for 1 day because I believe the wax comes out easier when it is left longer, especially when there is a large amount of wax.

STEP 2:

Take a regular or butter knife to crack the wax so it comes out.

STEP 3:

Clean your jar. There are several ways to do so, such as using baby oil, or dishwashing soap. I chose to use this Lysol Spray and steel scouring sponge because that is what I laid my eyes on first when looking for cleaning supplies at home. I figured it would be fast and easy, and hey it worked! Just scrub it all around as if you were washing dishes, when the jar looks clean and shiny rinse everything off with warm water and dry.

STEP 4:

Place all your brushes inside the jar and you are left with pretty shiny brush holders. VOILA!

Lights,Camera,Flawless!

First off Happy New Years to all! I hope everyone is off to a great start for 2015! I am so ecstatic about this year already because great events have taken place in so little time. One of the events happened to be doing hair & make-up for the models of the new online woman apparel store, Lush Rebel. It was such an honor and so much fun working with the team who happen to be my closest friends. Knowing it was pretty much everyone's first time for their part of the project made it nerve wrecking, exciting, yet so accomplishing all at the same time!  Surely this was my first time doing hair & make-up for a photo-shoot, I tried to keep it natural, since the whole purpose of the photos is for clothing. The models were definitely looking flawless and stunning! Below are some head-shots of the models. August Favorites

My very first “Favorites” is here!!! This month I made some great beauty discoveries that have left me with great satisfaction. I couldn’t wait to share my enthusiasm with you guys! I will tell you all about the details below! Lets start. Do you love the smell of coconut and love to feel the touch of soft hair through your fingers? Then you need to make your way over to these lovely creamy Herbal Essences Hello Hydration moisturizing shampoo and conditioner! I have not been using these products for long, but 2 weeks was all it took for me to fall in love. The smell, refreshing feeling, softness, and most importantly moisture and hydration this leaves me with has me smitten. Everything the bottle says around such as 100% softer hair within 1 wash, is true. Also since this contains coconut, a fun fact to know about the fruit is that it benefits your hair to grow! I will definitely stick around these products for a while.   When it comes to face cleansers I am ve...
