Dreamy Valentine

V alentines Day. You either love it or hate it! I'm personally happy about the day with a tall glass of wine and chocolates on the side, no preference, which makes me the best date ever! hehe. If you don't have a date suck it up girl! Just get together with your "singles" crew have a game night and play games like truth or dare, you would be amazed at the secrets you will find out about each other. Games like Charades and Catch Phrase are fun too. Whether you are heading out on a date or spending time with friends a great way to spice things up is with some flirty bold make-up! This year I decided to go with a "dreamy" looking smoky eye using the new L.A Girl "Smoky" eye shadow palette (which happens to be good pigmented quality). I went for a bold pink Lipstick from L'Oreal to make the makeup look sweet but flirtatious. This look will suite any event for the day making you not want to take it off. Lights,Camera,Flawless!

First off Happy New Years to all! I hope everyone is off to a great start for 2015! I am so ecstatic about this year already because great events have taken place in so little time. One of the events happened to be doing hair & make-up for the models of the new online woman apparel store, Lush Rebel. It was such an honor and so much fun working with the team who happen to be my closest friends. Knowing it was pretty much everyone's first time for their part of the project made it nerve wrecking, exciting, yet so accomplishing all at the same time!  Surely this was my first time doing hair & make-up for a photo-shoot, I tried to keep it natural, since the whole purpose of the photos is for clothing. The models were definitely looking flawless and stunning! Below are some head-shots of the models. To take a look at the clothing please visit  LUSHREBEL.COM   PRODUCTS USED: -Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Liquid Makeup- 5.5 -Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 -...

Contouring DIY

Contouring is one of the oldest techniques used in the makeup industry, it is well known for being used for photo shoots and runway models. The whole purpose of contouring is to define and enhance certain areas of the face while shading and highlighting to bring out or minimize features. Contouring is rapidly becoming part of many girls daily makeup routine nowadays leaving others wondering "how do I get that look"? So I would try my best to explain how to achieve the look and suggest what products to use. I do advice sticking to matte colors rather than liquid. A matte color gives a more realistic finish opposed to liquid giving a dewy look. Both look great if blended out correctly, but I have to say using mattes is my favorite way of contouring. Although in this tutorial I will be using both matte and liquid products just to show you guys that contouring can be done with both, and getting creative is always fun, which is what I enjoy the most about makeup artistry! I did...

DIY Makeup Brush Holder

Girls, if you find yourself with an unreasonable amount of makeup brushes but no space or place to put them in, look around your house. How many candle jars do you have? Were you thinking about throwing them out once they were done? DO NOT. You can get more uses out of these jars then you think! Starting with a pretty brush holder! This will cost you $0.00 and last you forever. Below are the instructions which I find to be entertaining for a day you find yourself bored in the house with nothing to do.  Have fun! STEP 1: Freeze the wax left inside the jar for about 2 hours. Although I rather leave it in the freezer for 1 day because I believe the wax comes out easier when it is left longer, especially when there is a large amount of wax. STEP 2:  Take a regular or butter knife to crack the wax so it comes out. STEP 3: Clean your jar. There are several ways to do so, such as using baby oil, or dishwashing soap. I chose to use this Ly...

Birthday Girl

Hi guys! For those that did not know, last week 9/11 was my birthday! Thanks again to all who wished me a happy one! I had an amazing time with my dearest loved ones, funny thing is I did not plan much; everything kind of fell into place and...Just happened. Who else loves when things turn out this way? I celebrated at the  NYC Sugar Factory American Brasserie. The restaurant was great! This place is definitely a birthday spot! The vibe and crowd was fun, food was yummy, and the drinks were AMAZING. If you're in the area make a stop! I was also triggered to capture some pictures at the amazing Gansevoort cobblestone streets; I kind of wish all of New York City streets looked like this. I just love the old-fashion way. These were all taken with an iphone 5s so pardon the low quality.  TOP:  Love Culture, SKIRT: Fashion Nova, SHOES: Bakers
